BLUE MOON WINES
A couple a miles away from the farm there was remains of a roman fort found, which showed that there was a Vineyard during Roman times, this was part of the reason why they considered starting as vineyard. Blue moons wine had a steep south-west facing bank that couldnโt be used for agriculture, so, in 2014 they planted 1200 vines of two separate varieties.
After a big learning curve, in 2017 they produced their first crop. Blue moon wines approached PixelHaze wanting to create a website and brand for their vineyard. They wanted their brand to emphasise their love for Radnorshire by showing this on their wine bottles and throughout the brand. Blue moon wines also wanted the brand to have subtle nods to their animals, they really wanted to convey that countryside family business approach to their brand.
THE PROJECT
A couple a miles away from Mikeโs farm remains a roman fort, which showed that there was a Vineyard during Roman times. This was part of the reason why Blue Moon Wines first considered starting as vineyard.
Blue Moon Wines had a steep south-west facing bank that couldnโt be used for agriculture, so, in 2014 they planted 1200 vines of two separate varieties. After a big learning curve, in 2017 they produced their first crop. Blue moon wines approached PixelHaze wanting to create a website and brand for their own bottled wine. They wanted their brand to emphasise their love for Radnorshire whilst subtly nodding to the pets they share their lives with.
OUR SOLUTION
To meet all of the requirements, it was really important for us to capture the countryside family business element and to tell that story through the brand. The logo included their love for their animals so we used a simple silhouette of a cat to give the impression of their pet sitting on the window sill looking out at the moon.
When designing the website, we wanted to ensure we used professional photography to promote both their products and the beautiful Vineyard where the wine is cultivated. We brought in a professional photographer, Ruth Rees, to conduct an hour photoshoot which properly displayed the products to help sell on the e-commerce website.
